Vision for Venezuela

A few weeks ago, I was in my room preparing for the Venezuelan National Youth Convention. I was very discouraged as this year the Convention was being held on Margarita Island, an island off the coast of Venezuela. The reason this discouraged me was because I felt that the Lord had given me a word of prophetic significance for the youth of Venezuela. I wanted as many youth to be able to hear this word as possible. Having the convention on Margarita Island made this literally impossible. The only way to get to the island is either by plane or on a ferry. Both are quite expensive for youth in a struggling economic situation. I knew that very few youth would actually be able to make it to the convention.

As I struggled with this disappointment in my room that night, the Lord suddenly brought a wave of encouragement to my spirit. I was suddenly very aware of the Lord's divine control of the situation. The Lord spoke to my heart and assured me that those who would make it to the convention would be those that either were so hungry for what the Lord had in store for them that they would do whatever possible to get there, or those that received a divine intervention from God himself and were supernaturally able to make it to the Island. Either way, God was in complete control and I knew that the youth that would be there would be the one's that the Lord wanted to be there.

As I contemplated this thought, I was suddenly given a vision by the Lord.

THE VISION:

I saw the continent of South America from an aerial perspective. All of the sudden, the nation of Venezuela was highlighted for me and I saw the entire nation of Venezuela from this same aerial perspective. As I was looking at the nation I began to see a lighthouse whose base literally covered the entire nation. A light appeared inside this lighthouse and began to spin around shining light to the entire continent. The Lord spoke to my spirit and I knew that this light was a beacon, calling young people from around the entire continent. I knew that a youth movement was coming to the nation of Venezuela that it would be like this lighthouse to the rest of the continent of Central and South America. The movement will attract young people from Mexico to Argentina and many will come to receive from this youth revival. Not only that, but the Church of Venezuela would see a mighty revival as a result of this youth movement as well.

Needless to say, my spirit was greatly encouraged. I closed my notebook and left my room ready to declare these things to the youth at the convention.

When we arrived on the Island I prepared to speak that first night and was anxious to declare these wonderful things to the youth of the nation. Then we got a phone call. Turns out that they changed the location of the first meeting at the last moment and they were calling to give us directions to the new place. Immediately, a spirit of discouragement hit me. How in the world would these young people find their way to the new place with such a last minute change. Again, I felt that nobody would show up to hear these prophetic declarations the Lord had given me.

As we arrived at the new place, an outdoor plaza with some concrete bleachers, I was wondering why I had to speak the first night. As I sat on the rock hard bleacher, I was discouraged and pouting. Little did I know that the Lord had everything under control. I looked up towards the stage from my seat and suddenly noticed the most unexpected thing. WE WERE SITTING RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE VERY LIGHTHOUSE THAT I HAD SEEN IN THE VISION. Now, I had never even been to Margarita Island before. I had no idea that there was even a lighthouse on the island. Here I am sitting right in front of the lighthouse the Lord had shown me a week before. Needless to say, WHAT A CONFIRIMATION!!!

We had a wonderful service as I shared the vision and the words the Lord had given me. The young people were excited and ready to receive at the altars as well.

I just thank the Lord for His awesome wisdom and His divine control. I'm so excited to see what God has in store for Venezuela and more specifically, the youth of Venezuela. We know that NOW IS THE TIME and that God is up to something big, not only in Venezuela, but all over the world and even in your life as well.
